Jina & Vivian Join The Care Team

Those of you who have visited the cattery lately on a weekend or during the recent holidays may have met one of our two new care team members.

Joining Cat Boarding Collingwood in February, Jina and Vivian have a lot in common. Each has a demonstrated commitment and proven track record in animal welfare and ethics. They share a combined wealth of experience caring for rescued animals and those in rehabilitation shelters.

Jina and Vivian each possess outstanding academic achievements – Jina a PhD in Bio Chemistry; Vivian a Science Degree (Hons) plus a further two years post graduate extension courses at Harvard University. It’s what they have chosen to do with these credentials which have impressed us.  Per chance, both are currently studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne.

Why were we interested in having them join us?

Well, at the end of the day, they’re nuts about cats.

Both Jina and Vivian share a fantastic combination of a great sense of humour, common sense and a true dedication to quality care. This makes them perfect additions to the Cat Boarding Collingwood care team.

We’re sure you’ll like them as much as we do!

Congratulations Steph!

Congratulations Steph!

Anyone who has been here at Cat Boarding Collingwood in the past 3 ½ years, on weekends or during holidays, will already know Stephanie. While clients have often commented on her knowledge and common-sense advice, Steph has always preferred to stay low key.

Well, we think it’s time to reveal her secret double life…

Steph already had her Certificate in Small Animal Management, five years experience as a vet nurse and a science degree when she joined our cattery care team. The results from her latest exams have recently been posted and with resounding success to date, Steph now embarks on her final year of veterinary science at the University of Melbourne.

So this time next year, it will be Dr Steph, if you please.

We could not be prouder.
