We are overjoyed to re-introduce you to two of our care team with their new titles;

Dr. Gwen and Dr. Gabi!

A huge congratulations to Gwen & Gabi, who have now completed their four years of post-graduate study in the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine program (DVM) at Melbourne University – and are now qualified vets! Gwen & Gabi have been a part of our care team throughout their studies. We are very proud to have watched them thrive through each year of the program.

So what’s next? Gwen has been accepted for an Internship with the highly coveted SouthPaws Specialty Surgery for animals. Gabi is currently enjoying some well earned time off by zipping away on holidays to Japan.

Swing care team members Ryan, Steph and Alex – who you may have met over some of our busier periods – also graduated from the Doctorate last year. A big congrats to them as well and we wish them all the best for their next chapters. Ryan and Alex will join Gabi for an internship at SouthPaws and Steph has begun clinical work at Greencross Vets.

As for some of our other crew members who are studying the DVM program we wish them all the best in their studies for the coming year. Michelle, Maddie and Jason are entering their final year of the DVM, Arielle her third, and our newest crew members – Jun and Harriett are entering their second year.

Congratulations also to Jina who has recently joined the vet team at Johnson Street Vet Clinic, which happens to be our primary vet. Jina will still do the occasional emergency locum at C.A.R.E., 24 hour centre which happens to be just around the corner from us.
